SRS Benetook Farm acquires Sunraysia’s first wheel chair bike

SRS continues to lead the way with providing innovative opportunities to our local community, with the most recent purchase of Sunraysia’s first wheel chair bicycle.

The new bike will allow those who require wheel chair access the opportunity to visit and experience Benetook Farm via a bicycle.

Monday to Friday SRS Benetook Farm is a social enterprise designed to provide opportunities for people with disabilities to enjoy, learn and socialise.

Operated and ran by SRS staff during the week each participant contributes to maintaining and growing the farm.

Benetook Farm is open to the public 7 days a week and is recognised as the go-to fantastic family-friendly place to visit for both locals and visitors in our region.

With the support from the Mildura City Council via their Recreation Development Grant, SRS are proud to announce that the remainder of the funds required to purchase the wheel chair bike were donated via SRS’s optional staff donations payroll program.

SRS CEO Marian Luehman is excited to achieve this amazing purchase and offer this to the local community. “To receive funding from our local council to go towards this purchase and the surplus funds donated by our staff makes the purchase even more special”

“It is unique offering to Sunraysia and I have no doubt it will make a big difference to so many and put smiles on the faces of many users”

“We look forward to our local community making new memories at Benetook Farm for many years to come”
