Sunraysia Residential Services Inc. (SRS) is inviting young NDIS participants to enjoy two weeks of fun, friendship and adventure as part of its specially designed School Holiday Program.
Open to children aged six to 18 years, the program will run weekdays from 10am to 3pm during the school holidays, offering a range of engaging activities tailored to each participant’s individual needs, interests and abilities.
The program is designed to support social connection, encourage participation in the community and provide families with a safe, inclusive and enjoyable holiday experience.
Pick-up and drop-off services are available, and participants new to SRS are welcomed to join in the fun.
Throughout the two-week program, participants will enjoy a variety of exciting activities including visits to SRS Benetook Farm, Sunraysia Tenpin Bowling, Mildura Waves, Orange World, the Australian Inland Botanic Gardens and Mildura Eco Village.
Other highlights include a boxing class, wheelchair basketball, sensory and creative play experiences, sporting activities, fishing, and an all-day adventure at Buronga Park.
SRS Services Manager Bethany Simpson said the program provides an opportunity for children to build confidence, develop friendships and create lasting memories in a supportive environment.
“School holidays can be challenging for families looking for inclusive and engaging activities for their children,” she said. “Our program provides young participants with exciting experiences, opportunities to socialise and the chance to explore the community while having fun.”
In other exciting news, SRS will also extend an invitation to NDIS participants based in the Riverland and Broken Hill areas to join the second week of activities from Tuesday 29 September to Friday 2 October.
Transport and accommodation options will be included for these participants, with dates also flexible to suit individual families and carers.
“Our region has so much to offer, and we’re excited to offer an opportunity to expand the program to include NDIS participants from the Riverland and Broken Hill areas,” Ms Simpson said.
“This will be great opportunity to build friendships and connections.”
