SRS completes NDIS audit with glowing review

Sunraysia Residential Services Inc. (SRS) has successfully completed its latest NDIS Practice Standards recertification assessment, with the organisation recommended for continued certification across all services.

The independent assessment, conducted in March 2026 by HDAA, Australia’s leading human services auditing agency, reviewed operations across service delivery, governance, participant outcomes and compliance across a broad range of supports, including Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA), Supported Independent Living (SIL) and community-based services.

The assessments found that SRS continues to meet the quality and safeguarding requirements expected of registered NDIS providers, while reinforcing its position as a trusted provider of disability support services across the region.

SRS Safeguarding Manager Sara Avery said the outcome also reflects the dedication of staff, the support of families, and most importantly, the voices of participants who continue to shape the organisation’s services.

“The assessment highlighted several organisational strengths, including a clear focus on participant choice, independence and quality of life,” she said.

“We received positive feedback from our participants and staff, reflecting a supportive culture and strong reputation in the community.

“This assessment confirms what we know to be true – our people are deeply committed to delivering quality, person-centred supports.”

The recertification process is a rigorous assessment designed to ensure registered NDIS providers deliver safe, high-quality support, and maintain systems that protect the rights, wellbeing and outcomes of participants.

Auditors highlighted several strengths across SRS, including its participant-centred approach, strong governance framework, commitment to community inclusion, quality SDA and SIL services, and a positive organisational culture.

Another positive highlighted by assessors was the high-quality nature of SRS’ Specialist Disability Accommodation homes, which were praised as “well-presented, personalised environments that reflect participants’ preferences and promote independence, choice and quality of life.”

Participant feedback, meanwhile, noted that SRS staff “go above and beyond”, while staff described the organisation as supportive, approachable and committed to quality outcomes.

Importantly, the assessment also recognised SRS’ willingness and ability to respond to opportunities for improvement.

“This successful recertification highlights our continued and ongoing effort to deliver high-quality services that are independently assessed against national quality and safeguarding standards,” Ms Avery said.

“We’re proud to deliver the level of services we do – all designed to support some of the most vulnerable in our community.”

As part of the NDIS quality and safeguarding framework, SRS will continue to participate in ongoing audits and monitoring activities, including a mid-term assessment before its next recertification audit.

The organisation will also continue implementing improvements identified through the assessment process as part of its commitment to continuous quality improvement.
