Looking for a fun and entertaining day out this winter? Don’t miss Sunraysia Residential Services Inc. (SRS) Benetook Farm’s Winter Market Day this July!
Locked in for Saturday 11 July from 10am to 1pm, the event will feature local stallholders, delicious coffee and treats from the History Café, the Benetook General Store Scavenger Hunt, and a sausage sizzle lunch from the SRS BBQ Hut.
One of several market days held throughout the year, the event forms part of SRS’ Community Outreach Program, with the aim to engage SRS participants in the broader community, while showcasing everything Benetook Farm has to offer.
Event organiser, and Benetook Farm General Store Coordinator, Tegan Pyke, said the event was shaping up to be a fun day filled with excitement and activities.
“Our Market Days are always really well supported, with plenty of stalls to browse and things to do,” she said.
“It’s also a great opportunity for the wider community to come and experience everything the Farm has to offer, from feeding the chickens and goats, to enjoying bike rides, making use of the playground or checking out some of the items our participants have created in the General Store.”
The popular Benetook General Store Scavenger Hunt will also return, providing participants with a chance to win some great prizes.
“By joining us the community is supporting our organisation’s efforts to provide high-quality support and homes for individuals living with disabilities, and those in need of aged-related care,” Tegan said. “It’s also a great day out for the family.”
Benetook Farm is a social enterprise that provides meaningful training and support for people with disabilities while creating a community space for everyone to enjoy.
