Chooks can save lives
Benetook Farm is a brand new disability training and respite project, aimed at creating and managing a hobby farm in the Mildura area. The project is sponsored by Sunraysia Residential Services – we have a thirty-five year record of providing accommodation, client services and respite for people with disabilities and their families.
This project isn’t just about serving the community, but just as much it’s about providing training towards employment opportunities and fun, meaningful activities for people with disabilities.
Lots to do!
- Feed the pets; gather the eggs; pick fresh produce when in season and get lost in maze
- Enjoy a tour on the bikes provided or in a golf buggy
- Feed the layer hens and gather the eggs
- Purchase farm fresh eggs
- You can also learn how to pack and stamp eggs
- Check out the reclaimed woodwork items and other interesting arts and craft items on display and for sale.

Love the idea of raising chooks but don’t have a yard? Benetook Farm has a new fundraiser called ‘Sponsor a Chook‘, with you in mind. Sponsor one of our chooks and you wont have to deal with her pecking, digging or fertilising in your backyard.
Pick your chook number and make a donation of $35. Give your chook a name and we’ll give you a sponsorship certificate or buy one for the friend who has everything!
